## v0.14.0 — 27 October 2026

Setup now shows you companies and job boards instead of asking you to name
them, the company watchlist reads two more career-site systems, and a day's
worth of form traps. The Peoplise and Kariyer.net notes come from
[@dckaratas](https://github.com/dckaratas)'s runs.

### Setup asked you to remember companies, so the watchlist held only what you could name

`/seekter-init` asked which boards to use and which companies to watch. Most
people name a handful, and a company that hires remotely from its own career
site is invisible to every board. Two shared lists now ship with the kit:

- **Job platforms** (`reference/sources/platforms.json`, 14 entries): where
each one works, which fields it covers, whether it needs an account and how
often a run should read it.
- **Companies** (`reference/employers/catalog.json`, 143 entries): companies
hiring from their own career sites on a system Seekter can read, each with
where it says it hires, checked against its own board on 27 Oct 2026.

Init filters both to your country and field and shows platforms first, then
companies, grouped by how firmly each one says it hires where you live: **A**
names your country or region, **B** is remote in a region that includes you
without promising it, **C** has office roles and appears only if you would
relocate. The default is to keep them all; drop what you don't want. The
catalog holds public facts only, what a company's own board says, never
anything from anyone's applications; `reference/employers/README.md` says what
may go in.

### The watchlist reads PeopleForce and Pinpoint

Company career sites on PeopleForce (`careers.<company>.com/v/…`) and Pinpoint
(`<company>.pinpointhq.com`) are now read like the other systems in the
watchlist, and `live.mjs` can tell whether a posting on either is still open.
PeopleForce forms need no account: a full name field, a rich-text cover
letter that ignores values set from script, and coordinate clicks that drift
while the page scrolls (one landed on the consent box). Focus fields from
script and type.

### Form traps

- **Greenhouse:** typing "No" into a select filters by substring, so on a list
of long sentences it kept "Yes, … via a **no**n-immigrant visa" on top and
Return chose it. Type enough of the wanted option to be unique and read the
list before Return.
- **Teamtailor:** declining the cookie banner can leave a second,
employer-run consent dialog mid-page, and while it is up every typed digit
of the phone number is lost.
- **iCIMS** is an account wall only on its first screen. Once the candidate
has signed in, the rest of the wizard fills: the form sits in a same-origin
iframe, and Return inside a select saves the step and reloads the page.
- **Cezanne HR** (formerly Occupop): one page, fills by typing; the cover
letter is a rich-text box that a reference click does not reach.
- **cord** has no application form, only "Message the hiring manager", and
Seekter never sends messages for you. Its Logistics block says up front
whether visa sponsorship is available; read it before handing anything over.
- **Peoplise:** the phone code list holds two `+90` options and can open on
the wrong country, and changing it clears the number. A submit that lands
on "you cannot apply to this position right now" followed a rejection from
the same employer the day before; a rejection logged the day it arrives
puts that employer on hold and the form is never filled.
- **Kariyer.net:** the cover-letter dialog stays shut in a background window.
Bring the tab forward and click first; a script fallback is written down
for when that is not possible.

### Upgrading

Nothing to migrate. Your `profile/`, `applications/` and `runs/` are
git-ignored and untouched. The company catalog is offered during setup, so an
existing watchlist does not change on its own: to add the catalog companies
that fit you, ask Claude to show them and add the ones you want.
