Hi! Thanks for the PR. 4.2.0 is binary compatible with the 2.8.0 API, so the most likely issue will be your build tooling failing to add an assembly binding redirect, or, a GAC assembly registration issue. Sorry to not be able to be more specific, good luck with it! This project hasn't had any build or tooling maintenance for a while, I'll loop back around to this PR when I have a chance to get the rest of the project up-to-date and builds flowing again. |

I have an issue with one of my projects, and it fails to use this library when using a newer version of Serilog. So bumping the version referenced for Serilog would be helpful.
