SculptMate is a Blender add-on that simplifies the process of generating meshes. It automates a significant part of the game development pipeline, allowing users to quickly create meshes from a single image.
- Generate meshes of objects from a single image.
- Create background assets with ease allowing you more time to work on the important parts of your render.
- Get UV unwrapped maps and baked textures.
- Download the latest release zip file from the Releases page.
- You might have to start Blender with admin privileges for this step, depending on your Blender installation path.
- In Blender, go to
Edit
>Preferences
>Add-Ons
. - Click on
Install
and select the downloaded zip file. - Enable the add-on by checking the checkbox next to its name.
- If you have a GPU in your system, check the 'Has GPU' box. This will speed up the generation process.
- Install the dependencies.
- Get the the checkpoint files that are required for the generation process. The Pro model requires a GPU to run.
- Open Blender and head to the Render Properties Tab.
- Scroll down to find the SculptMate Panel.
- If you have the dependencies installed, you can select an image of the object you'd like to generate a mesh of.
- Click on Generate.

If you are experiencing trouble getting SculptMate running, check Blender's system console (in the top left under the "Window" dropdown next to "File" and "Edit") for any error messages. Then search in the issues list with your error message and symptoms.
Note On macOS there is no option to open the system console. Instead, you can get logs by opening the app Terminal, entering the command
/Applications/Blender.app/Contents/MacOS/Blender
and pressing the Enter key. This will launch Blender and any error messages will show up in the Terminal app.
