Hey,
in the current version of Filter::Crypto (on CPAN) there is no problem to retrieve original password (i.e. from Decrypt.so) for people knowing "gdb". I've prepared a little modification to cut off the easiest way of retrieving password. Please, consider to merge modifications with the main stream.
Ps. I think that in the same one can prepare safeguard for "key", but this is not done for now.
