unpckr

unpckr is a cli tool that collects all files from sources into a single directory according to the specified rules

!!! About anti-virus attention !!!

Your anti-virus (even Windows Defender) may decide that unpckr is a virus. Of course it`s not. It happens because one of the libraries get access to your file system for copying, removing and renaming files. So exactly it call warnings. unpckr is an open-source project and you can see whole code base in GitHub. If you want, you can build app from sources

Usage

unpckr has built-in usage:

usage: unpckr-cli [-h|--help] -s|--source "<value>" [-s|--source "<value>" ...]
                  [-d|--dest "<value>"] [-c|--conflict-rename (simpleRandom)]
                  [-r|--rename-all (hash|none)] [-p|--pattern "<value>"]
                  [-l|--log] [--log-level (INFO|WARN|none)]

unpckr -s "C:\Users\Folder with Whitespace\photos" -s D:\files\photos\holidays -d D:\MyPhotos -r hash --remove-duplicates --unzip

Order of operations/filters

  1. Source scanning

    • Unzip
    • Duplicates removing
    • Pattern renaming
    • "Rename all" function
    • Conflicts renaming
