Istedet for å velge oppstartprogram gjennom en rekke Linux scripts som nå, hva om vi starter ROS med en gang og heller velger modus innenifra:

  • tilstandsmaskinen
  • manuell kjøring
  • oppførsel uten navigasjon (f.eks. lyd og lys show)
  • kun navigasjon (f.eks. for å kunne sende den et sted)
    Dette vil gjøre det enklere å lage en kontroll interface og samtidig gjøre det enklere å avslutte og bytte operasjonen/modus. Dette kan f.eks. implementeres med en ROS node som lytter til kommandoer fra GUI eller en fysisk kontrollpanel.
