The results of update-version.sh are checked in, while the results of build-release.sh are not. And we check in the generated man pages.
This ensures we don't accidentally do a release when the checked in Cargo.lock is outdated for whatever reason.
And fail generate-docs.sh on any error.
Clippy already gets it from Cargo.toml

See the individual commits. The moves of
bin/andget-pam-variant.bashmake the root directory a bit cleaner and the new locations are a bit more logical.
