- We will be using Agile and Zenhub. Action item: read about it and install Zenhub
- if you get the chance, check out my new book. It would be good if one person at least checked it out and determined if it was rubbish so that the rest of the team wasn't subjected to it if it were.
New Teamate: Austin. Welcome!
Action items: same as yesterday
- timetable:
- start: now
- end: April 27th
- deliverable: presentation to class
New Teamates:
- Jack:
- never worked with functional programming, want to
- never worked on open source, want to
- Dan:
- knows a little rust
- enjoys learning system level programming
Tasks:
- Goal is in 2 weeks be done with:
- do The Book for 4-8 hours: https://doc.rust-lang.org/book/
- go until you get through chapter 4.18 (Generics)
- I may be off on the time it will take here -- if I am, let me know.
- switch to rust by example and learn by doing: http://rustbyexample.com/
- make sure to actually do the examples! I highly recomend never (or almost never) copy+pasting.
- do The Book for 4-8 hours: https://doc.rust-lang.org/book/
Future:
- start with export command
- start with export json
- export markdown for including on git
- feature: develop test tracking server backend
- both Jack and Dan will have the feature be their primary project
- feature will have backend in rust with frontend in elm -- the sky is the limit for what could be worked on.
