Step by step introduction with visualizations
Hylar is a simple js library for doing reasoning on a set of triples. To get it up and running, do the following:
- Initialize a new project with
npm init
- Add Hylar as dependency
npm install --save hylar
(first you need node and node-gyp: https://github.com/nodejs/node-gyp) - Adjust the following code sample to your needs and try it out
var Hylar = require('hylar');
var fs = require('fs');
h = new Hylar();
//Files and settings
var mimeType = 'text/turtle';
var files = [];
files.push('triples.ttl');
files.push('bot.ttl');
var query = "PREFIX bot: <https://w3id.org/bot#>\
SELECT * WHERE {?subject a bot:Zone}";
//Get file content
triples = '';
for(var i in files){
var string = fs.readFileSync(files[i], "utf8").toString();
if(i == 0){
triples = string;
}else{
triples+='\n'+string;
}
}
//Do reasoning and run query
h.load(triples, mimeType)
.then(response => {
return h.query(query);
})
.then(results => {
console.log(results) // log results to console
});
