Roll back the first key reservation when the second fails
When admission-public.hex already exists or cannot be created, the preceding create_private has already left an empty admission-private.hex; the command then exits and future retries fail on that newly created file. This violates the command's stated behavior of failing if either output exists without modifying the directory, so reserve both paths atomically or remove the first file if the second reservation fails.

- Around line 104-141: Update the background refresh loop in `tokio::spawn` so
failed `attest_public_key` refreshes retry after a short delay instead of
waiting the full `max_age`; restore the normal `max_age` delay before each
attempt so successful refreshes retain the existing schedule. Keep the
`MAX_SERVABLE_AGE` exit behavior unchanged.

Adds a dedicated Selfie Check enrollment application that extracts a VanillaSelfie embedding inside a measured Nitro enclave. The public host relays ciphertext; the broker starts the private biometric worker in the existing Minijail sandbox before creating channel keys or runtime threads.
The native/browser client verifies the AWS chain, document freshness, PCR0/1/2 and channel-key commitment before uploading an image. A successful sealed result contains
FaceEmbeddingwith the existing PCP fields:embedding,embedding_type,embedding_version, andembedding_inference_backend, preserved verbatim. There is no worker identity/profile in the response, attestation or client policy. Private worker updates remain deployment-controlled; bundle integrity checks stay internal to provisioning. Nitrouser_dataand nonce are empty. The flow follows Flamingo:
assignment_request→ flat attestation/public-key assignment → one sealed request/result → close.EnrollmentClient.connect()returns an owning session;session.extract(image)consumes it. Errors use Flamingo's envelope. Assignments reuse the boot key and cached attestation. Same-boot ciphertext resubmission can repeat inference; another boot rejects old ciphertext. Experimental staging connects directly, with proxy protection deferred.Seven crates separate public messages, sealed plaintext, enclave RPC, broker/worker policy, host, verified native/WASM client, and E2E tools. Existing DI applications remain available. Shared sandbox bundle provisioning uses Flamingo server/v0.1.0-rc.2, locked to
48205c5fce4524b9f4f3cad079eb5813f3cce0ab. The service does not log or persist images, embeddings or worker debug reports. Sensitive owned buffers are erased on drop; operator result files are opt-in and mode 0600.Focused review against Flamingo

busy; 8 MiB image limit, 64 KiB padded output, eight default sockets and a 90-second host session deadline.Validation

d846eeeebe0a7198519ecd9a12469c5293748d21: merged mainfef24a61ee419b16ab03ef54be775d333631c841(PCP-hash validation, #74). The only conflict was adjacent package additions inCargo.lock; both dependency sets are preserved, including the browser-compatible wasm-bindgen version used by this branch. Upstream migration source matches main unchanged. Locked workspace metadata, formatting, all 15 enrollment tests and strict Clippy across all seven enrollment crates pass locally. The follow-up below supersedes this head for CI.Audit follow-up at
0db5ae4e9b44fd2691c57c4c615a68241daf516e: the fresh CI audit reported four Rustls advisories (RUSTSEC-2026-0346 through RUSTSEC-2026-0349) against locked 0.23.45. Updated only Rustls to patched 0.23.46, plus Cargo's canonical lockfile ordering.cargo deny --all-features check, all 15 enrollment tests and strict Clippy pass locally after the update. No advisory exceptions were added. Full PR checks rerun for this final head; staging has not been rebuilt or retested for it.Review follow-up at
9de2ecde71e74b92d85fa86e02b7a9538cf8f396: the shared Flamingo source is pinned by immutablerev; failed NSM refreshes retry after 30 seconds. Source CI and Docker CI passed. The staging deployment and live E2E evidence below remain pinned to34e80bf; the retry change and this merge have not been deployed. At
34e80bf1b51dbaebdaff0102bce04cda633e247d: focused Rust tests, formatting, strict Clippy, native harness compilation and WASM linking pass locally. A frozen CBOR fixture checks the exact Face PCP response schema. Source CI passed workspace tests, Minijail tests, LocalStack, Clippy, Nix enclave builds and twelve browser regressions. Source Docker builds also passed.Deployment build worldcoin/tee-apps#19 and promotion worldcoin/tee-apps#20 are merged. The published image pair is running on staging; its PCR0/1/2 exactly match the independent PR build. CodeQL and other required checks for the conflict-resolution head are reported separately in the PR checks; local validation is not a substitute for those scans.
On October 13, 2026, all 51 live checks passed using the existing fictional generated portrait: native Rust through public WSS and both replicas; standalone WASM and packaged WalletKit in Chromium and WebKit; invalid-image and individual PCR0/1/2 rejection; same-boot ciphertext resubmission; old-boot rejection after replacing one replica; and successful fresh extraction. Browser success responses have exactly the four PCP fields; wrong-PCR cases upload zero image frames. Live attestations have empty
user_dataand nonce. All paths return the same embedding hash and metadata as the previous worker deployment. At the end of that October 13 run, both replicas were ready on separate dedicated nodes, with zero container restarts and non-debug Nitro PCRs matching the published release. Argo was Synced/Healthy, both ALB targets were healthy, and public health/readiness returned 200. Temporary test connections were closed and saved ciphertext deleted. Live staging was not revalidated for the October 14 conflict resolution.
Camera liveness, credential issuance, interactive biometric challenges, proxy implementation and production rollout are outside this embedding-extraction PR.
AI assistance: Codex (GPT-6). Sanitized prompt: implement embedding-first Selfie Check enrollment using Flamingo patterns, simplify assignment/session ownership, remove client-visible worker pinning, and align the result with existing Face PCP metadata.
