Expose extractSelfieEmbedding(configJson, imageBytes) in the browser WalletKit facade using the verified enrollment client from worldcoin/biometrics-tee#70. The worker verifies Nitro PCR0/1/2 and the channel-key commitment before sealing and uploading the image over the same WebSocket that supplied its assignment.
Successful SelfieEmbeddingResult values contain FaceEmbedding: embedding, embeddingType, embeddingVersion, and embeddingInferenceBackend, matching existing Face PCP data. Failed results carry invalid_image, quality_rejected, extraction_failed, or invalid_request. Service busy remains a transport/service error. Client policy contains only the endpoint and complete PCR release entries; worker executable identity and profile are removed.
The shared client follows Flamingo's assignment request/response and Client/Session ownership. Results are not persisted or logged. terminate() cancels an in-flight operation; transport phases have bounded deadlines. Includes public type exports, consumer type tests, browser rejection/cleanup tests, a deterministic WASM success-conversion and postMessage test, and usage documentation. Dependencies pin biometrics-tee 34e80bf1b51dbaebdaff0102bce04cda633e247d; the standalone JS export is disabled so WalletKit exposes only its worker facade.
Validation
Review follow-up at 22d32f1fd40dce513c58c83deff449860b996a6f adds a dedicated-worker WASM test for the actual success conversion, exact four-field schema, and MessageChannel structured cloning. Current package CI passed, including the new dedicated-worker test, all 17 package browser tests, consumer types, the Next.js example and tarball checks. This is a test-only follow-up; the packaged staging validation below was performed at 910578d7e1e9e15607d059e6e7732667e5633e67, consuming the same 34e80bf client.
Locked dependency metadata, Rust formatting and TypeScript formatting pass locally. The package build passed Nix/WASM compilation, consumer types, all 17 browser tests, example checks and package checks. Its exact tarball was used for the new staging E2E run; nothing is published to npm.
WalletKit's full Rust/Kotlin/Swift CI also passed. Deployment build worldcoin/tee-apps#19 and promotion worldcoin/tee-apps#20 are merged; staging runs the matching published image pair and PCR policy.
All 51 live checks passed using the existing fictional generated portrait, including twelve checks through this exact packaged WalletKit worker in Chromium and WebKit. Browser success responses contain exactly the four PCP fields; incorrect PCR0, PCR1, or PCR2 rejects before any image frame is sent. Repeated extraction and invalid-image rejection pass. Native tests additionally verify both replicas, empty attestation user_data/nonce, same-boot resubmission, and old-boot rejection plus fresh extraction after a replica restart. All successful paths preserve the previous worker deployment's embedding hash and metadata.
Both final replicas are ready, non-debug, and measured against the trusted release. Argo and ALB health checks pass. Temporary test connections and the WebKit profile are closed/removed. Experimental staging connects directly; proxy protection, biometric challenges, camera liveness and credential issuance remain outside this operation.
AI assistance: Codex (GPT-6). Sanitized prompt: add the verified Selfie Check embedding client to WalletKit, simplify the session flow, remove worker pinning, and expose the existing four Face PCP fields.

📝 Walkthrough
The browser WalletKit facade adds extractSelfieEmbedding with same-origin admission handling and public result types. It returns embedding and worker metadata on success, or a typed failure. The README and browser tests describe and check the API. The web workflow also permits package artifact uploads for manual dispatches.

Agent recommendation: withhold approval
Withheld: repository policy requires completed CodeRabbit and Copilot reviews covering the current changes, and neither exists yet at the supplied head. The PR reviews API returns an empty list, there are zero review comments and zero review threads, and the only bot activity is a CodeRabbit 'review in progress' summary plus a Codex 'running' summary. CodeRabbit's commit status is still 'pending' and the copilot-pull-request-reviewer check run is 'in_progress'. A second independent concern reinforces withholding: the new source dependency pins worldcoin/biometrics-tee to commit e790f5a1d9dbcbcd67ad802aa6e358216bcaa228, which is 3 commits ahead of upstream main and belongs to the still-open PR worldcoin/biometrics-tee#70 (not merged, not on the default branch). Policy requires human review for source/ownership changes and unverifiable or unreleased provenance, and this adds a large transitive graph (tokio, rustls, tokio-tungstenite, webpki-roots, pontifex, reqwest) into a browser package. No mandatory review has completed and no human has signed off on the source dependency.
Final agent response
Decision: **Withhold approval** — verdict written to `verdict.json`.
Blockers:
- **No completed required reviews.** `reviews=[]`, zero review threads, and zero review comments for head `839ac7e`. CodeRabbit is still "in progress" (commit status `pending`), and the `copilot-pull-request-reviewer` check is `in_progress` with no Copilot review submitted. Policy requires completed CodeRabbit and Copilot reviews of the current changes.
- **Unmerged source dependency.** `selfie-enrollment-*` is pinned to `worldcoin/biometrics-tee@e790f5a1d9dbcbcd67ad802aa6e358216bcaa228`, which is 3 commits ahead of upstream `main` and belongs to the still-open PR #70. Policy requires human review for source/provenance changes, and this pulls a large transitive graph into the browser package.
No findings/discussions exist to confirm as addressed, and I do not treat the absence of comments as evidence of a passing review. `approve` is `false`.
Structured review assessment
Review coverage
Not sufficient. reviews=[] for PR 604 and GraphQL reviewThreads=[] with no pull request review comments. Issue comments contain only two entries: coderabbitai[bot] at 2026-10-09T01:29:35Z ('Currently processing new changes in this PR', review profile ASSERTIVE, head aac0e59..839ac7e) and chatgpt-codex-connector[bot] at 2026-10-09T01:39:40Z marked 'Running' on 839ac7e. The CodeRabbit commit status is 'pending' (description: 'Review in progress'), and check runs show 'copilot-pull-request-reviewer' in_progress with no Copilot review object submitted. Given the change touches cryptography-adjacent FFI, attestation verification, network admission, and a new git dependency, depth must be high; no substantive review of the current head has been delivered by the required reviewers.
Discussion resolution
There are no findings, inline comments, or review threads to verify as addressed: both the reviews list and the review-thread list are empty. The only discussions on the PR are the two bot status comments described above, neither of which raises a finding to resolve. I did not treat the absence of comments or 'resolved' state as proof that any review passed, because no review has completed.
Independent review
I inspected the supplied diff and surrounding code at head 839ac7e: crates/walletkit-web/src/enrollment.rs, error.rs, lib.rs, Cargo.toml/Cargo.lock, web/walletkit/src/{index.ts,remote.ts,js.rs}, README, and both tests. The Rust path validates admissionPath (must start with a single '/', rejects '//', backslash, '#', CR/LF/tab), resolves origin from the worker scope, parses the policy JSON, performs a same-origin credentialed JSON POST limited to 2048 response bytes, and maps EmbeddingResult to plain JS objects. The JS facade exposes the function generically via FunctionName, and result/type exports and consumer type tests are present, so the surface appears wired correctly. Minor observations, none a promotion blocker on their own: the image Vec is moved out of Zeroizing via mem::take before being handed to the client, so this wrapper no longer zeroizes that allocation; the admission POST relies on the client deadline rather than its own timeout; and the browser tests exercise only rejection paths, not a successful attestation/sealing path (acknowledged as no live staging extraction). The dominant issue remains that the required independent reviews have not completed, and the pinned source dependency is an unmerged commit from an open upstream PR.
Repository policy
NOT MET. .code-review.md requires completed CodeRabbit and Copilot reviews of the current changes with depth appropriate to complexity. CodeRabbit: in-progress only (status pending). Copilot: review requested at 01:39:30Z but no review submitted (check run in_progress). No findings were available to confirm as addressed. The dependency policy is also triggered: the change adds a source (git) dependency pinned to e790f5a1 on worldcoin/biometrics-tee, which is ahead of main and part of open PR #70, plus new transitive dependencies in the browser package; human review of that source/provenance is required. Approval conditions are therefore unmet.

Enforce the admission-response limit while reading
When the admission handler returns an oversized body, response.text() buffers and decodes the entire response before the 2 KiB check runs. A broken or compromised handler can therefore consume enough memory to terminate the WalletKit worker despite the apparent limit; read the body through a bounded stream (and optionally reject an excessive Content-Length) instead.

🔵 Needs a closer look
The public success and typed-failure result mappings need browser-level regression coverage.

Add browser tests for embedding success and failure serialization
crates/walletkit-web/src/enrollment.rs:155
P2: No browser test reaches this conversion: the new tests stop at config/admission/attestation errors, so neither a successful embedding nor any typed failed result is verified across WASM and worker structured cloning. A mapping or serialization regression would therefore break the feature’s public return contract despite the suite passing. Add a fixture-backed test for one success and the failure variants (at minimum one failure) that asserts the exact page-side object shape.

🔵 Needs a closer look
Security-sensitive biometric and attestation handling needs final human review, with runtime result coverage still missing.

Add browser fixtures to validate SelfieEmbeddingResult conversion
crates/walletkit-web/src/enrollment.rs:155
[P2] The browser regressions only reach an attestation error, so neither branch of this handwritten JS conversion is exercised. A mapping typo or upstream field change could ship a runtime object that contradicts SelfieEmbeddingResult while the consumer type test still passes. Add worker/browser fixtures for one authenticated success and at least one typed failure, then assert the exact page-side shape.
Clarify enrollment timeout exception and cancellation behavior
web/walletkit/README.md:180
[P3] This bounded-deadline statement conflicts with the later claim that WalletKit calls have no timeout and network calls may block indefinitely (lines 207–208). Make the enrollment exception explicit so consumers choose cancellation behavior correctly.

🔵 Needs a closer look
Security-sensitive biometric and attestation behavior depends on an open upstream change, coordinated deployment, and pending CI.

Document enrollment timeout as a WalletKit lifecycle exception
web/walletkit/README.md:180
[P3] This conflicts with the existing lifecycle guidance at README lines 207–208, which says WalletKit calls have no timeout. Since enrollment is explicitly deadline-bounded, document it as the exception so consumers know whether a stalled call eventually releases the worker queue.
Document all failure reasons and require branching on reason
web/walletkit/README.md:184
[P3] The public union also returns busy, invalid_request, and extraction_failed, so describing every failed result as an image/quality failure is inaccurate. Consumers may otherwise treat a transient operational result such as busy as a prompt to retake the selfie; describe the broader failure set and tell callers to branch on reason.
Validate payload size before transfer and connection
crates/walletkit-web/src/enrollment.rs:37
P1 — Validate the protocol size limit before transferring or connecting. This browser API accepts an arbitrary Uint8Array, so a user-selected payload larger than the protocol's 8 MiB limit is copied into the worker and WASM and still opens/attests a socket before the dependency rejects it while sealing. A sufficiently large input can exhaust the tab/worker, and even ordinary oversized input reports whichever network error occurs first instead of a deterministic validation error. Reject empty or >8 MiB input on the page side before WorkerClient copies it, and repeat the check here before connecting as defense in depth.
Document enrollment timeout behavior and qualify the global statement
web/walletkit/README.md:173
[P3] Reconcile the timeout contract with the instance-management section at line 202, which still says that calls have no timeout and can block queued work indefinitely. Enrollment is now an exception because its transport phases have bounded deadlines, so consumers cannot tell from this README whether to expect a timeout error or always cancel with terminate(). Document the bounded enrollment behavior here and qualify the global statement.
Addressed the success-path coverage finding from #604 (review) in 22d32f1. The new deterministic WASM test runs in a dedicated worker, passes the actual Rust success conversion through MessageChannel.postMessage, and asserts the exact four Face PCP fields and values. It is wired into the existing Nix web-package CI. The older suggested vector/version/worker fields were intentionally replaced by embedding, embeddingType, embeddingVersion, and embeddingInferenceBackend; worker identity/profile are no longer part of the API. Actual Nitro verification and encrypted success exchange remain covered by the completed staging E2E run (including the packaged WalletKit worker in Chromium and WebKit); this test adds repeatable CI coverage of the conversion without bypassing attestation. The new CI run passed: the dedicated-worker success-conversion test, all 17 package browser tests, consumer types, Next.js example checks and tarball validation: https://github.com/worldcoin/walletkit/actions/runs/38489761661 .
Clarify WalletKit timeout exception to prevent incorrect retry behavior
web/walletkit/README.md:172
P3 — This flow has bounded transport deadlines, but the later “Manage the instance” section says WalletKit calls have no timeout and can block indefinitely. That contradiction can lead consumers to implement the wrong timeout/retry behavior; call out this operation as the exception (or qualify the later statement).
