Languages

SocietasPro supports internationalisation, that is to say, there is no hardcoded English in the application. Instead, it uses a language module to get the words and phrases it needs, so these can be translated into different languages.

About languages

If you're a user, the following information may be helpful.

Language is global

The language setting is global - that is to say that if you change the language setting in the configuration section of the administration module, it will change the language for all users. Also, any changes in languages do not take affect until you refresh the page.

Managing languages

If you want to create your own language files, this section will explain how to do it.

### Creating a language You can create a new language by copying en.php and re-naming it to the two character ISO country code, then translating all the phrases in it. It is important that the first line of comment at the top of the file, contains the name of the language. This is because it is taken from here to display a list of languages.
