Skyld AV - online virus scanner invocation

The target of this project is to provide online virus scanning functionality for Linux.

For elder kernel revisions Dazuko provided a filesystem with online scanning capability. The development was given up in 2011.

The fanotify kernel interface allows to trigger online scanning. The target of this project is to provide the layer between fanotify and a virus scanner.

The target virus scanner is ClamAV.

Skyld AV is currently available as a package on Gentoo Linux.
