With increases in piston technology an upgrade for the compact crossbow has been developed. This adds a self-cocking mechanism that makes use of the force of the bolt and a second rail, allowing for a total of two bolts to be fired, before needing to reload.

A sticky piston and a repeater do the dirty work.

It’s reloaded in the same way that the regular crossbow is.
