Most important enhancements | ||
=========================== | ||
Improved Scope Stack [*usable for plugins*] | ||
------------------------------------------------------ | ||
Scope of some keywords where implemented more or less manually. | ||
This has now been updated to be usable more dynamically and that plugins can also use | ||
scopes. See this atest example how `last_log_message` attribute is stored and read from Scope Stack: | ||
`Example Plugin <https://github.com/MarketSquare/robotframework-browser/blob/main/atest/test/09_Plugins/ExamplePlugin.py>`__ | ||
Also `Show Keyword Banner`_ and `Register Keyword To Run On Failure`_ also got a scope parameter now. | ||
Improved code completion when used from python | ||
---------------------------------------------- | ||
Code completion in python plugins and also when working with Browser lib from Python | ||
should be improved by switching from `__init__.pyi` to `browser.pyi` | ||
Improved logging when returned values contain non-printable characters | ||
---------------------------------------------------------------------- | ||
When non printable characters are in Element Text or attributes, these where not logged. | ||
Therefore the debugging was somethimes a bit hard until users realize that there where special | ||
characters present. Non printable unicode characters should be now visible with their unicode code. | ||
Use the Get Style keyword with pseudo-elements and all avaiable css attributes | ||
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ||
`Get Style`_ keyword got a new argument `pseudo_element` which can be used to fetch styles | ||
from pseudo elements like `::before` or `::after`, etc. | ||
Also the `key` attribute is now capable to accept any css property that can be set by css directly. | ||
i.e. the key `border` that contains all border information was not possible. | ||
The atomic values like `border-left-width` and `border-right-width` had to be used. | ||
Now it is possible to use any property like `border` or `border-width` as key filter. | ||
New PythonLibCore used to enable Listern in Plugins | ||
--------------------------------------------------- | ||
A python plugin can now be a Library Listener of Robot Framework. | ||
Just by setting `ROBOT_LISTENER_API_VERSION` to either `2` or `3` as class field | ||
a python plugin class can become a listener like shown in `Example Plugin <https://github.com/MarketSquare/robotframework-browser/blob/main/atest/test/09_Plugins/ExamplePlugin.py>`__ | ||
Fixed some bugs in `Record Selector` keyword | ||
-------------------------------------------- | ||
When calling `Record Selector` keyword twice Browser lib could crash. | ||
On Some webpages the location of the buttons were at the wrong position. | ||
Playwright 1.30.0 used | ||
---------------------- | ||
New Release just brings new Browser versions. | ||
