Vanderbilt Support
- Possibility of data attribute tags for future versions of REDCap?
- Would equal less brittle tests!
-
Chris Chapman (UT Dallas) joined us today. Thanks for your insight and joining up, Chris!

Chris Kadolph will begin work on trying to get buy-in from Vanderbilt on data-attribute tags for fields. This would reduce test brittleness and make it easier for us to target specific fields using Cypress. Mentioned he would talk with Leila Deering and see what we can do to convince Vanderbilt of the value of this strategy moving forward.

Latest proposed seed changes are on seed-test branch. Clone it and see what you think. The latest update no longer requires a version specific seed file because the SQL files are being pulled from REDCap source code instead. (No more /versions/ folder.)

Adam De Fouw asked committee if anyone was willing to help with Windows scripting conversions of shell scripts. Tintin Nguyen mentioned he'd try to help figure out the Windows scripting side of things.
-
Adam De Fouw asked committee if anyone was willing to help with improving the documentation which has fallen out of date. Chris Chapman mentioned that he'll help on documentation once he has a bit more bandwidth.
-
John Crissey sent out sub-committee email documenting current process for Vanderbilt validation of REDCap. Rob Taylor gave insights on what Vanderbilt is doing. Might be worth figuring out where we have overlap ... the focus of Vanderbilt is probably more on bug tests whereas we are focusing on validation, though.
