ci: stop requesting reviewers when a Team Mobile author changes a protected path - #781
When a Team Mobile author changes a path in .github/protected-paths, the Team review request workflow asked every other member to review. The comment that lists the protected files is enough, so now the workflow only posts that, and the author asks a member to review.
The workflow runs on every push, so it keeps one notice per PR. It edits that notice when a later push changes the protected files, and leaves it alone otherwise. Before, it commented only when it requested someone new.
A non-member author or a high or critical CodeRabbit rating still requests the members, including on a PR that changes a protected path.
The duplicate check matches the notice's first sentence, so it also finds the comments that open PRs already have from before this change.
Testing
node --test .github/scripts/*.test.mjs (247 pass). The protected-path tests check that nobody is requested, that a second run leaves the notice alone, that a changed file list edits it, and that a high-risk rating still requests the members.
The workflow runs from main, so this PR still gets the old behavior. The first protected-path PR after merge will show the new one.
Risk
Touches .github/scripts/, a protected path, so it needs another Team Mobile approval. The workflow on main will still request the members on this PR.
A protected-path PR has no reviewer until its author asks for one.
…tected path
The comment that lists the protected files is enough, and the author
asks a member to review. The workflow runs on every push, so it skips
the comment when the pull request already has it.
A non-member author or a high or critical CodeRabbit rating still
requests the members.

This pull request changes files listed in .github/protected-paths, so it needs an approval from another Team Mobile member before it can merge. CodeRabbit's approval isn't enough for these files.

Walkthrough
For protected-file checks, the workflow posts a notice if one does not exist and updates it if its body differs from the current protected-file list. If the risk rating is not high or critical, the workflow requests no reviewers. High- or critical-risk checks continue to reviewer selection. Tests cover these paths, and the documentation describes the process.
The intended workflow behavior is implemented, but a rare matching human comment could be overwritten; this is a bounded follow-up risk.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title names the main behavior change: Team Mobile authors who change a protected path no longer get reviewers requested. The changeset matches this: the workflow script stops requesting members for that case, posts a single notice instead, and CONTRIBUTING.md is updated to match. The title is specific and follows the conventional prefix style. The 80-character length is at the upper end of concise but still readable.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description follows the template's sections (What & why, What to focus on, Testing, Risk, How to revert). It explains the motivation, the notice-deduplication behavior, the exceptions for non-member authors and high or critical CodeRabbit ratings, the test command and results, the rollout caveat that the PR runs the old workflow from main, and the revert path. The Risk section answers the template's question about protected paths. It does not state whether the change touches a public API or stored session data, and it omits the before-and-after screenshot note, which applies only to ClerkKit, ClerkKitUI, or E2EHost changes and so does not apply here. These are minor gaps.
Full details: Testing, Risk, And Revert
Explanation
The PR description contains all three required sections. Testing names the test command and expected results. Risk identifies the protected-path reviewer risk and required approval. How to revert states that a plain revert is sufficient.
Full details: Device Evidence
Explanation
The pull-request diff changes only .github/scripts/team-review-request.mjs, .github/scripts/team-review-request.test.mjs, and CONTRIBUTING.md. It changes no file under Sources/ClerkKit/, Sources/ClerkKitUI/, or Examples/E2EHost/, so device evidence is not required.
Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
Docstring coverage is 0.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 3 functions across 2 files. (1 skipped: 1 unsupported.)
Resolution
Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

The approval check reports a protected path before it looks at
CodeRabbit's rating, so a protected change rated high or critical
requested nobody. It now requests the members, as any high or critical
change does.
A later push can change which protected files a pull request touches,
so the workflow edits the notice when its file list is out of date.
