Summary

  • Screenshots: all six directory screenshots recaptured from current main (WordPress 7.1.3), plus two new ones: 7 Settings with export/import after reviewing a file, 8 Preview as Editor. Screenshot 4 is now full-frame so the floating "Saved" status is in the picture (the old left-half crop cut it off).
  • Capture spec: capture-directory-screenshots.spec.ts gains shots 7 and 8, and shot 4 clears its rename afterwards so later shots show the stock Dashboard.
  • README.md: new "Try the new selected-row controls (prototype)" section with the prototype Playground, the tester guide on the prototype branch and the prototype-feedback form. The status section moves from v1.3.1 to v1.10.0, quick start covers Preview as and export/import, the screenshot table adds 7 and 8, the toolbar description is current, and the footprint figures are re-measured (v1.10.0 build: ~290 KB zip).
  • readme.txt: the feature list adds Preview as and export/import and describes the larger icon picker and SVG icon colours. "Menu settings" becomes Settings, captions are added for screenshots 7 and 8, and the download size is updated. The prototype is not mentioned here.
  • docs/user-guide.md, SPEC.md, TESTING.md: icon picker details (437 Bootstrap icons, topic search, SVG colours), the Settings name, the Bootstrap count in SPEC, marking the preview exception as shipped, and a new "Directory screenshots" section in TESTING.

Type of change

  • Bug fix
  • Feature
  • Documentation
  • Tooling / CI
  • Release / packaging

Verification

  • composer test:unit
  • composer lint
  • composer analyse:phpstan
  • npm run test:js
  • npm run check:doc-links
  • npm run test:php
  • MAESTRO_CAPTURE=1 capture spec (all 9 pass against a local WordPress 7.1.3 + SQLite site)
  • bash bin/build.sh (used for the footprint figures)

Notes

  • The new screenshots and readme.txt text reach WordPress.org with the next tagged deploy.
  • Found while capturing: after Review file, the Settings dialog grows downward past the viewport and covers the toolbar, because maestro-settings-popover is not in the ResizeObserver grows list in assets/maestro.js. The capture works around this with a resize event. The fix belongs in its own PR.

Refresh the directory screenshots from the current main build and add
two: Settings with export/import (7) and Preview as (8). README gains a
section pointing testers at the selected-row controls prototype, its
Playground, tester guide and feedback form (GitHub README only).
readme.txt, the user guide, SPEC and TESTING catch up with export/import,
the larger icon picker, SVG icon colours and current package figures.
