The project was started in May 2019 to meet Extinction Rebellion Belgium needs. Local chapters were being initiated and there was no database, no way for coordinators to organise rebels. Using software like Action Network was not an option, as data would have been hosted in the USA on a shared application.
The current version allows local chapters coordinators to have a global view on their rebels, and synchronise email addresses with Mailtrain, an open source newsletter app. All coordinators use Mailtrain to send newsletters.
This project will become XR strategy's cornerstone if we can make it a long-term project.
