- This is a Next.js project
- It was bootstrapped with
create-next-app
- Uses tailwindcss for styles
- Supabase for backend
- Clone this project to your computer using git (see github desktop, git bash for windows, otherwise use the terminal emulator of your choice).
Currently our main developer uses the following setup to edit, though feel free to use what works for you:
-
IDE:
- Visual Studio Code
-
Extensions:
-
Additional non required extensions:
-
Make sure you have nodejs installed and npm (try
npm -v
to see if you have it) -
Now get into the project directory and run
npm install
to download the requirements -
In order to setup supabase you have to make an
.env
file in the root directory and fill it in with the following content:
NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_URL=<...>
NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_ANON_KEY=<...>
where those values can be pulled from the supabase settings page on the dashboard.
- Launch the website for development using
npm run dev
and open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result. - You can start editing the page by modifying
pages/index.tsx
. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.ts
.
The pages/api
directory is mapped to /api/*
. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
This project uses next/font
to automatically optimize and load Inter, a custom Google Font.
