+On Windows, contributors should be aware of the following points when working with Faust:
+
+- The Faust repository is a multi-project monorepo; not all subprojects are required to work with the core Faust compiler. In particular, components such as `faustgen` depend on external SDKs (e.g. MAXSDK) and are not part of the standard compiler workflow.
+- For most contribution and testing tasks on Windows, using the official prebuilt Faust binaries is sufficient and significantly simpler than attempting a full source build.
