CrewChat started as a plugin for my server, the Crew Craft Server. I tried many other chat plugins but never found one that did things exactly how I wanted. In 2019, I started work on CrewChat, designing it from the ground up as a chat plugin specifically for my server. For a while, I was happy with the result and the server used it for all text communication in game.
There comes a time as a developer where you think of new features and long to improve your code, and as such, I decided to build on CrewChat. I started to think of it more as a plugin that anyone might want to use and implemented features that others might use that I might not. I integrated the plugin with DiscordSRV and eventually added a party system.
My goal became to get to that Official Release, so I could share my plugin with everyone. As you can see, that goal is a reality now and I'm happy to present to you: CrewChat - My take on a chat plugin with lots of fun features and coded with love. Thank you to everyone who had to put up with my silly questions, gave suggestions, and helped test with me.
