Moves Nuxters into nuxt.com, so profiles can be shared as nuxt.com/nuxters/<username>. The data comes from nuxt/nuxters, which keeps the collector (see nuxt/nuxters#451).

What's new

  • /nuxters: leaderboard by period (last 30 days, last 12 months, all time, each year from 2016), with contributor and contribution totals. Signed-in users see their stats, badges and an optional Discord step.
  • /nuxters/<username>: stats for any period (?period=), score breakdown with the core bonus, year-by-year ranks, "Contributing since", share link and a GitHub README card (/nuxters/<username>/card.png, new Nuxter.takumi OG image). The leaderboard opens profiles on its period, and "All Nuxters" goes back to it.
  • Footer, home page, content/index.yml, the Resources menu and the user menu now link to /nuxters.
  • Search: lazy GET /api/search/nuxters?q= (names starting with the term first, then by rank), on the leaderboard and in the CMD+K palette.
  • Header: Nuxters is a direct link between Templates and Resources. The Enterprise menu is removed: Agencies and Sponsors move into Resources (desktop and mobile).

Data

  • New nuxters and nuxters_syncs tables (migration 0007_nuxters).
  • The nuxt/nuxters push webhook (POST /api/webhooks/nuxters, signed with WEBHOOK_SECRET) starts the syncNuxtersWorkflow (Vercel Workflow, new workflow dependency). Its steps call /api/internal/nuxters/{sync,purge} with INTERNAL_API_SECRET: on Nitro v2, Vercel builds workflows outside the Nitro bundle.
  • The sync lists public/ at the pushed commit and imports only the files whose blob sha changed, one transaction per period, then purges the ISR entries of /nuxters.
  • /api/contributors is removed: it sent the full 10 MB file to the browser. The home page uses /api/nuxters?limit=240, and /api/v1/teams reads the scores from the database.
  • Local dev: pnpm nuxters:sync (Nitro task), with --payload '{"dir":"…"}' to import a local collector output.

Other changes

  • pnpm-workspace.yaml: the @workflow/serde 4.1.2 override is scoped to chat and @ai-sdk/provider-utils, because workflow needs @workflow/serde 5. @swc/core and cbor-extract are listed in allowBuilds.
  • app/app.vue (separate commit): getter keys for the navigation and content-heads data.
  • Discord roles are optional: /api/auth/discord returns 404 and the UI hides the step until the variables in .env.example are set.

Before and after merge

  1. Check that Enable access to System Environment Variables is on in the Vercel project. Workflow needs VERCEL_DEPLOYMENT_ID.
  2. Apply 0007_nuxters by hand: migrations no longer run during the build. Use pnpm nuxt-hub db migrate --dotenv <file with TURSO_DATABASE_URL and TURSO_AUTH_TOKEN>. Do the same for the preview database if it is a separate one.
  3. Right after the deploy, start the first import: until then, /nuxters, the home page avatars and the /team scores are empty.
  4. Add the push webhook in nuxt/nuxters: https://nuxt.com/api/webhooks/nuxters, application/json, secret WEBHOOK_SECRET.
  5. Later, replace nuxters.nuxt.com with redirects to nuxt.com/nuxters.

Tests

  • pnpm lint, pnpm typecheck and pnpm vitest run (247 tests, including test/unit/nuxters.spec.ts) pass.
  • NITRO_PRESET=vercel pnpm build passes, with the queue-triggered workflow function in the output.
  • End to end on a local Node build with a temporary database: a signed push for nuxt/nuxters 4a6549a started the workflow, which imported the 14 period files (27,024 all-time contributors) from GitHub.
  • Not tested: the import against Turso, the deployed workflow on Vercel, the signed-in card with a real session, and the Discord flow.

📝 Walkthrough

Adds a Nuxters directory with contribution data imported into SQLite, server APIs for profiles and rankings, and a workflow for processing GitHub updates. Adds profile and leaderboard pages, sharing and score displays, and Discord account linking with badge-based role grants. Updates contributor links and team scoring to use the Nuxters data.

Priority: ➖ Normal

Estimated code review effort: 4 (Complex) | ~60 minutes

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to d7938

Unsupported period queries can still create distinct cache misses, and removed-period data can remain visible until another sync. These are bounded follow-up risks rather than evidence of a broad failure; merging is possible with owner awareness.

🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Include removed period files in the push filter.

nuxtersPushSha checks only added and modified files. A push that removes a period file returns contributors-unchanged, so server/api/webhooks/nuxters.post.ts does not start syncNuxtersWorkflow. The stale period can remain in the database and leaderboard.

Include commit.removed in the path check and add a removal-only push test.

- Profile: `?period=` switches the stats, rank and score breakdown (no extra request: the profile API sends every period). Leaderboard links and "All Nuxters" keep the period; year rows select the year.
- Profile layout: square avatar, 2/5 + 3/5 then 1/3 + 2/3 columns, compact header below lg, reactions and icons in the year rows, best year tie broken by points.
- Search: lazy `/api/search/nuxters` (prefix first, then rank), on the leaderboard and in the CMD+K palette (after Blog).
- Header: Nuxters as a direct link; Agencies and Sponsors move from Enterprise into Resources.
- Year select and search: 14px text like the buttons (16px search on phones, to avoid the iOS focus zoom).
- Leaderboard: a "Show more" page that answers after a period switch is ignored.
- Discord: a failed role grant redirects to /nuxters?discord=error instead of a 500.
- Sync: periods whose file is no longer in nuxt/nuxters are deleted, and their page is purged.
- Search: a failed request shows no results instead of an unhandled rejection.
- `?period=`: years are limited to 2016-current year, and a middleware redirects an invalid or repeated value before any render, to bound the ISR entries.
- Profile and leaderboard: title, description, og:url and OG card follow `?period=` (the canonical URL stays without it).
- `card.png?period=` returns the card of a period; the share link and README Markdown use the period on screen.
- Leaderboard tooltips show the points of the period.
- OG card: `period` prop (a local variable must not shadow it, or nuxt-og-image drops the prop), singular labels.
Cells are up to 123px wide: request 124px avatars (248px on 2x screens)
instead of 80px.

Will fix nice catch @DamianGlowala

"Meet the Nuxters", the people behind Nuxt and its modules, with an
"Updated every day" badge. The scoring rules stay in the score modal.

Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com>
…mport

- Skip module maintainers without a GitHub username (external data) instead
of failing the module page and the modules index.
- One icon per URL on profiles: a website can also be a social account.
- Keep the current links when profiles.json has no profiles.

Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com>
…ME card

- The Nuxter card keeps one height while the session and the stats load: a shared
skeleton, the same minimum height for every state (from the card width), and one
row for the Discord and sharing actions.
- The stats request is no longer awaited: the card mounted after hydration
  rendered nothing until it ended.
- The Add to README modal can pick any period the user contributed in.

Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com>
The Discord unlock stayed hidden: the project sets NUXT_DISCORD_* names that do
not match the runtime config keys, and the secrets cannot be recreated. The
config now falls back to them at runtime (never in the build), and the OAuth
handler gets its credentials per request.
