It uses contribution dates to assign issues, comments, and merged pull requests to periods, records earliest contribution dates, and applies additional quality points for activity in core repositories. It can collect selected repositories and write period-specific JSON files. The workflow detects and stages changed contributor JSON files matching the expanded filename pattern. collectRepository: reject entries without both owner and repository components,

Prevent partial collections from being written.
collectOrganization catches errors and continues. If one organization fails after other data was collected, contributors.json can exceed the 1000-byte check while the period maps remain incomplete. The collector then writes every period file, and the workflow stages them all.
Track collection failures and stop before writing any output. Do not apply the all-time byte threshold to period files because empty periods are valid.

Prepares the data for the leaderboard on nuxt.com/nuxters: one leaderboard per period, the date of each contributor's first contribution, and a bonus for the framework repository.
Output
public/now has one file per period, all with the same record format:contributors.json: all time (as today, plus the new fields)contributors-30d.jsonandcontributors-12m.json: rolling windows at collection timecontributors-<year>.json: one per year from 2016 (UTC)The collector reads each repository once, as before. Each item counts in "all time", its year, and the windows it falls in. Merged PRs count on
merged_at; issues and comments count oncreated_at. Reactions count on the date of the item that received them, because exact reaction dates would need one API call per item.New fields in each record:
first_contribution_at: the earliest issue, comment or merged PR.core: the merged PRs, helpful issues and helpful comments made innuxt/nuxt,nuxt/frameworkandnuxt/docs. The totals already include them.Score
Merged PRs, helpful issues and helpful comments in the core repositories count double:
score = base + qualityPoints(core) × (CORE_MULTIPLIER - 1). Raw issues, comments and reactions do not double.nuxt/framework(Nuxt 3, 2,742 merged PRs) andnuxt/docs(1,670 merged PRs) are archived, so the collector skipped them until now. They are collected again throughINCLUDE_ARCHIVED.Other changes
public/contributors*.jsonand detects new files (the first file of a new year).COLLECT_REPOSandCONTRIBUTORS_OUTPUT_DIRlet you run a quick local test without touchingpublic/. The README describes them.Effects after merge

For every contributor, each score matches an independent calculation. Core counts never exceed the totals.
