Summary

  • Update README.md to replace Elasticsearch references with OpenSearch, document the queries/cdmq directory (Node.js library and HTTP server), add missing workflows/ and VERSION entries to the directory layout, remove stale links, and simplify project status
  • Add CLAUDE.md with project conventions and structure for AI coding assistants

fix CI workflow path filtering to skip real CI for doc-only changes

Replace dorny/paths-filter with tj-actions/changed-files in both
crucible-ci.yaml and cdm-ci.yaml. The new action provides an
only_changed output that is true only when all changed files match
the specified patterns, allowing doc-only PRs to skip full CI.

Part of the reason for making these .md changes was to test the new workflows to ensure that "real CI" was bypassed when only documentation-like changes where being made. This uncovered the fact that the workflows were not in fact working correctly so subsequently that problem was resolved.
