About SHOGun License
This text is only draft! It did not pass the PSC voting process yet!
In general SHOGun is divided into SHOGun Server and SHOGun Client, which both could be run independently from each other.
SHOGun Client is one possible solution to use SHOgun server's capabilties. As both modules are independent from each other, each is licensed seperately.
SHOGun Server is licensed under the "3-clause BSD License".

As SHOGun Client includes ExtJs, we have to go the dual licensing way, following the Sencha Licensing specifications of ExtJs.
This means that the client is released under the GNU GPL license v3 as long as a customer did not buy a Sencha Commercial License. The commercial license allows to use Ext JS to develop commercial applications whose source code the company/administration want to keep proprietary.
The user has to decide whether to use the GNU GPL v3 or the commercial license when he begins to use the client-sources.
