Global Search

Vinzenz Rosenkranz edited this page Dec 13, 2018 · 1 revision

The global search is a great tool to quickly search through all data stored in Spacialist. It supports searching for entities (including attributes), files, geodata and literature based on different priorities to display more relevant results on top.

While typing Spacialist shows all results in a box below. You can either click one of the results or use the arrow keys and enter/return to directly jump to the data. If you only want to search for a specific type, the search can be restricted to certain types by adding ! + type identifier + space first to the term.

  • !f for files
  • !e for entities
  • !b for bibliography
  • !g for geodata

Examples:

  • !f jpg only returns files that have jpg in their name, description, camera model or copyright
  • !b lang only returns bibliography entries that have (the last name) lang in all of their attributes (author, title, journal, year, etc.)
