With this tool Spacialist provides a basic citation tool to manage the references.

It has the following features:

  • Existing libraries can be imported as a BibTex-file or new entries, following normal citation standards, can be added using the + Add new Bibliography-Entry button. You can either fill out all fields by hand or – if you want to add one existing bibtex entry from your clipboard – by hitting ctrl + v to paste the content of the clipboard automatically into the fields.
  • The entries can be sorted ascending and descending by most of their attributes (blue highlighted) like author, year or title. For a quick filtering you can use the search bar. All entries that match the search term in one of their colums are shown.
  • To have a cleaner layout only the most important attributes are shown by default. To show all attribute fields use the Show all fields switch in the header-bar.
  • If needed the whole library can be exported as BibTex-file.

Example:

  • Copy the following entry and paste it (ctrl + v) in the new entry form.
 @article{lin1973,
    author  = {Shen Lin and Brian W. Kernighan},
    title = {An Effective Heuristic Algorithm for the Travelling-Salesman Problem},
    journal = {Operations Research},
    volume  = {21},
    year    = {1973},
    pages   = {498--516},
 }
