Joel Clermont is a C#/PHP/Ruby developer (in that order, for now). He recently sold his stake in a web development company he founded, Orion Group. What better way to spend some newly found free time then to talk about and hack on Hypermedia APIs with a bunch of really smart people? He organizes the Milwaukee PHP user group and always loves visiting speakers *hint, hint*.

Proposed Talk

Title My Path to Hypermedia Enlightenment
Level Geeks of All Ages, Five In Five
Abstract It has only been the last 9 months that I have had a serious interest in REST and now Hypermedia APIs. Prior to this, I went through various phases of exploration and turned to different avenues to educate myself on the topic. While I have many more steps to take on this quest for knowledge, I'd like to share my experiences to a captive room of REST/Hypermedia experts in the hopes that the topic can be made even more accessible to others willing to learn.
