Description

This session will give an introduction to a selection of useful digital tools in Egyptology and Papyrology. The focus lies on written sources in Egyptian (Hieroglyphic, Hieratic, Demotic) and the reproduction of script. The second part of the class is devoted to the Digital Rosetta Stone Project. We will address Alignment of three ancient languages and their translations, treebanking (especially our tries with Egyptian), and visualization.
