en | Tips | Meaning Of Logged Out

KeeFox can only function when you are logged in to your KeePass database; this protects your passwords from unauthorised access.

The information below only applies to KeeFox versions before 1.4. Newer versions of KeeFox (assuming you run it in Firefox 29 and above) will clearly explain this status in the main panel, as well as indicating a "ready" state by changing the KeeFox icon from grey to colour.

The status message displayed on the matched logins toolbar button will indicate one of three states:

  1. "Launch KeePass": KeePass is not running

  2. "Logged out": KeePass is running but you have not logged in to any database

  3. "Logged in": Everything is ready for you to visit the websites you want to log into automatically

WARNING!

OLD INFORMATION

The information in this Wiki is out of date.

It is only of interest if you are using the old add-on called KeeFox in a very old (insecure) version of Firefox or other browsers based on the old Firefox XUL technology.

Read the manual for Kee and KeeBird instead.
