Notes
Web Conferencing Issues
The group had more issues conferencing and used Amazon Chime for this meeting as a work around. We will continue to use Amazon Chime until the GotoMeeting issues are resolved. See this link for Chime Connection information.
Testing Requirements Document
The group resumed work on the cmi5 testing requirements document. Sections 9.5.3 Completion thru 9.6.1 Registration were covered.
cmi5 Best Practices
During the testing requirements review process the group discovered that registration id was not explicitly listed as a requirement for all statements as originally intended. As a result of this discussion the group agreed that:
- The requirement that registration id be included in all statements be added to the next release of cmi5
- That a "best practice" be issued for the inclusion of registration id in ALL statements as follows:
Best Practice #12 – Provide registration id in all statements.
It is strongly recommend to include the registration id provided by the LMS at launch time in the context of all statements issued by the LMS and AU.
cmi5 Specification
The group agreed on the following clarifying language for computation of duration:
9.5.4.2 LMS statements that include duration
Abandoned Statement
The duration property MUST be included in "Abandoned" statements. The LMS SHOULD use LMS specific methods (if available) to determine the duration if it has more accurate means of session time calculation than time stamp differences between statements. In the absence of such methods, the duration property MUST be set as the total session time, calculated as the time between the "Launched" statement and the last statement (of any kind) issued by the AU.
